Chelsea can Still Make it Through!

Many people have already written off Chelsea, as title contenders. But I say, don't write Chelsea, just off yet. We know that they are a team in transition, and will take a little time for all players to get adjusted.
Chelsea looked a bit shaky, in their first Premier League match against Stoke which, ended in a 0-0 Draw. Then, they got their First win of the season, against West Bromwich Albion. The Blues extended their Winning streak to 4 wins in a row, until they got defeated by Manchester United,at Old Trafford. The Blues, then recovered by remaining unbeaten for 6 matches, until they finally, got a 1-0 defeat against QPR,which wasn't expected by many. On top of that, there were 13 cards shown against 13 different Blues, which included 2 Red cards and 11 Yellow cards.
In their Next Match, they Defeated Everton in the League Cup,and then, came the famous 'North London' Derby, against Arsenal.Chelsea entered the match as favourites, and were a stronger side on Paper. But, as we all know, anything can happen in Football, and it happened just that. Arsenal defeated Chelsea, 5-3 at Stamford Bridge.
Their next 12 matches, were a kind of Roller Coaster Ride for them. They Drew their first match against Genk ,and then, escaped a narrow victory by defeating,Blackburn Rovers,1-0.Then,they suffered 2 successive defeats from Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen, repectively. They won their Next match, against the Wolves, but again lost to Liverpool in the League Cup.
Then, they got 3 back-to-back wins, which they badly needed. They were also the first team,to defeat Manchester City in this Season. Then,Chelsea drew their next 3 games, and dropped valuable points, during Christmas.
AVB's Boys then, suffered another setback when they lost to Aston Villa, on the last day of 2011.

Ideal Chelsea Formation
Going into 2012, not many would consider Chelsea title contenders, but you really cannot write Chelsea off. They have won their first 3 matches of the year, and are in the 4th spot in the Premier League, below Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham. Their next 2 matches are against Norwich and Swansea, where they will expect easy victories to come their way.
And,the signing of Gary Cahill will surely boost Chelsea's Defence. And,also the return of Michael Essien, will strong up their Midfield.
Here are some more reasons, showing how the Blues are still,Title Contenders:->
  • The title race is still alive, mathematically.
  • Fernando Torres is improving.
  • The spring season always favors the blues.
  • The veterans know how to win.
  • It ain't over till it's over!
